Art Series Hotels launched a new restaurant in 2016, Tumbling Stone Restaurant & Bar, with a view to define the new venue as a locals haunt for the under-serviced Spring Hill area in Brisbane. To help find an audience outside of their hotel guests, I was hired to create a dedicated website for the venue.

Working with the hotel management team in Brisbane and the Art Series marketing team in Melbourne, I developed a site that incorporated the style guide created for the restaurant. The copy was designed to work with the tone that Art Series is known for, while also standing on its own to distinguish the restaurant as a separate entity.

Highlights:

  • Successfully launched a new website and booking engine on time and within budget for the opening of Tumbling Stone Restaurant & Bar

  • Developed copy that helped rank Tumbling Stone on the first page of Google for restaurants in Spring Hill (Brisbane, Australia)

  • Provided training for staff, giving them the tools to add new events and change menus without the need to alter the site

  • Developed email templates in MailChimp for local area marketing programs

  • Handed over site to Mantra (now owned by Accor) when ownership changed hands
